RE: RAZORTEC HAS " FUNKY" RECOIL
I haven' t shot the RazorTec or hardly any of the other Tech-y bows, mostly because they don' t keep anything even close to my draw length on the rack at the shops around here. I shoot the mildest bow in Hoyt' s entire lineup, the ProTech with LXPro limbs and Accuwheels. It does have an odd feel to the recoil, but I' ve always attributed it to that cheezy self-grip and with splinters of wood for side plates. Metal is REAL good at conducting vibration into your hand.
Anyway, my bow is NOWHERE NEAR a match for the Q2 or Legacy in lack of recoil, even shooting arrows that weigh out at 9.7 grains per pound! (It' s nowhere near the match of my old SuperSlam in that category either.) But when I shot the Q2XL, I swear I never felt the bow. It was a shocking experience! I' ve been shooting compounds for a quarter of a century and had never shot a bow that felt like that before.
I just wish Mathews made something in my draw length.
