Day 2 into the 2007 season (tuesday) and I filled the bull moose tag on a small bull. I had a bull grunting behind me and throughout the afternoon a cow and a bull infront of me. I went after the bull in front of me as they would not come out of the thick brush and ended up calling him into 50 yards where I took him through the lungs. .50 TC Hawken with 80 gr of Pyrodex with a 460 gr great plains bullet. I had to track him about 100 yrds through the bush, that is the tough part of hunting this time of year. Though I impressed my partner as this is year 2 that I shot a bull coming into me at under 50 yrds, last year it died at 10 yrds from me.

Went after elk north of home (Edson Ab) and got into the sign but that was all. Seen a couple of big bulls and a cow but was not drawn in that zone. Also had a small blackie in to 30 yrds (I could have shot him but do not really want a black phase bear) and got pitures of a bunch of white tails does. Pretty quite now till the Nov cow elk season just east of Edson.

Well that is I will only have 6 tags to fill with whities and mulies so I will have a little something to do.
