Default RE: Elk hunting

I agree, it is public land and BG had the right to hunt there. Especially if he was there first. I can certainly understand how Winterhawk guides would feel on running into other hunters, seeing its their lively hood. When I did the archery hunt, it was also cow rifle season, and we ran into a few DIY hunters. My guide made comments, likedarn rifle hunter. But he'd take me in another direction is all. Anyone we did run into he was nice too. So must've just been the guide you ran into. I know they do have problems with DIY hunters using their drop camps, and also doing damage to them sometimes. Winterhawk has a Outfitter permit for 250 sq miles. All that means is no other guide service can guide in that area. But they can't stop DIY hunters.
I'm hoping to draw a muzzlerloader tag for 08' season. I have 1 Pref. Pt. So not sure what my chances are. If I don't get it, just go with a bow again. But I can't wait to get back to Winterhawk. I was watching hunting videos with them past wk. Just to help ease my appetite!
