I wouldn't keep to many big bluegills though in a small pond as it can hurt the fishery. Some advice to you is that in smaller bodies of water that have big bluegill usually have larger than average bass. The reasoning behind this is that the bass are doing a good job eating the younger bluegills causing competition for food to decrease allowing the survivors to grow faster. I would give bass fishing a try and see what you can come up with.
