Default RE: Elk hunting

What kind of a Elk hunt are you looking for? Rifle, Muzzle, archery. I did a archery Elk hunt in 06' w/ Winterhawk Outfitters. White River National Forest, Flat tops wilderness. Well known for its large Elk population in Colorado. It was my first Elk hunt, so I can't do a comparision for you. But I will say myself & friend that went were treated excellent. We got into Elk, I came close to a 40yd bowshot on a nice 5x6. He just wouldn't crest the knoll. The Outfitter treated us excellent, very professional, and treat you like family. Its expensive, but so well wroth it. I really truly enjoyed being there. We've alreadly booked our trip with them for Sept. 08', and I can't wait to get back there. www.winterhawk.com

They've been on Outdoor Ch. several times in past w/ Wild Outdoors-Jay Gregory, Outfitters Journal, Babe Winkleman, and Larry Lasoki has hunted with them, before started his own show Gettin Close.
