Steve,
First off this is my first guided hunt. Leaving the bou and weather out of it (because they have no control over either), I'd say 8 of 10. Food was great, boats were good, guides worked hard, the provided sleeping bags were fair, cabins were great considering where you are, the oil heating is good, shower was good with plenty of hot water. Now we hit the migration at a peak so we saw tons of caribou which was a plus. I was pleased with the size of the bulls and they say the big ones aren't there yet. The camp (Min) we were at had only fair to slow fishing while we were there. I heard it is a better boat fishing camp. I've heard other camps are better for that. I personally saw 15-20 ptarmigan and could have killed them if I had something other than my m/l. I think there were 2 guys with sg licenses that killed 4 or so ptarmigan. There were at least 3 maybe 4 bears seen, 1 sow with a yearling and another bear (maybe 1 more). I know at Oma, there was a bear taken while we were up there. I would say a small game license would be worth it but for me, I didn't see the bear sign that made me wish I had bought a license.
