I am sorry to here about all those deer dying off. Here they would either shorten the season in that area or put restrictions on the deer harvest. The area I hunt up here has no doe permits during rifle season but, you can shoot a doe if you wished with a bow. They would not try and close the season up completely for fear of poachers keeping the deer count down and wouldn't be able to open it back up.
