Be patient & persitant. These hunting shows glorify in 30 minutes what might take yrs to accomplish.

Be happy to be out in the woods. It doesn't matter that much how many bucks you see or if you get a kill.

My dad told me the other day he still gets a little "buckfever" every time he sees a buck(after 30+ yrs). If you ever lose this feeling then you might as wellpick up another sport.

Don't get caught up in being competitive. i use to be very competitive with my friends when younger, wanting to kill more or bigger bucks.
