I’m considering getting a 22 lr. in a bolt action and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Browning T-Bolt Target/Varmint or the Savage Mark II Classic. I have handled the Savage Mark II Classic and found it handled very well. The finish of this rifle was excellent and I found the action was well made. I haven’t had the opportunity of handling the T-bolt and was wondering how well the straight pull action works. The Browning is around $100 more then the Savage. Would anyone have any input on either one of these rifles???
I've got a Savage MkII BV that I'm positively
THRILLED with. Wonderfully accurate, great fit/finish, and mimics my hunting rifle well enough for me to burn 250 to 300 rounds of .22lr offhand per 20 rounds of .30-'06 I shoot at the range. It's sporting a Nikon 4x32 Rimfire scope, with which I'm equally happy. I can't think of many other purchases I've ever made, and certainly not in things gun-related, that I'm so happy with.
So, yeah... I like it OK.
