When one of my cameras does something goofy I like to bring them into the house and set them up and see what they do. If it is filling the card with 16 pictures then it would only take 16 minutes to find out and then you can pull the card and see what is on it.

Don't be afraid of that thing, mess around with it and see what is going on.
