ORIGINAL: Horizontal Hunter
I know that its probably not the best choice but its what I have and I am sure that it is capable of doing the job if I put the bullet in the right place.
I was planning on shooting the Remmington 170g CORE-LOKT as it shoots well out of my lever gun. Is that a good choice? I am open to other suggestions and I look forward to your input.
Thanks,
HH
IF your rifle shoots well with the 170-grain Core-Lokt, then use it! I would prefer a 170-grain bullet for bear, and would see how well the factory loads using the Barnes X or the Nosler Partition bullet shoot in my gun. However, at .30/30 velocities, the Core-Lokt bullets will work-just hit them right!
