I bought a Hawkeye recently. It's the stainless/synthetic model and is chambered in 7mm-08. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but have loaded some rounds for it and hopefully will be able to this weekend. For the time being I scoped it with a 4x40 Nikon, but might put something else on it at a later date and put the Nikon back on my muzzleloader.

I'm impressed with this rifle so far just based on the level of fit and finish and how it seems to function. Better than the two Model 77's I previously owned. The trigger is a definite improvement, though I would like to have the pull reduced by about a pound.

Yep, I'm impressed so far, but will have to wait and see how it shoots to form a real opinion.
