Yea then we can have the problems they do in many of the big buck states, outfitters buying up land and making it hard for an average guy to finda spot to hunt. We need hunting to become the sport ot the rich right?
Great point Charlie - and one I used last year when a private group already controlling 1000's of acres in 7j and 7h wanted to go mandatory AR in these wmu's - claimed we have the potential for deer similar to Pike County's rep..
I would ask hunters in these areas their thoughts on hunting access in these areas - common answer was "hard and getting harder every year".
I then asked them what they thoughtaccess would be like if the proposal went through, actually worked, and resulted in a rep like Pike Cty.
Not a hard question to answer - local hunters would lose most if not all access and the state land would be over run.

100% correct, we also have the problem of people selling there land for development reasons. It is not worth enough for hunting. Damn if we do damn if we don't. That is a big one for MI. Now we have farmers putting AR's on leases so they can get more money.

Issues are only going to get worst, either way. Why I say get involed and help out.
