What you can shoot accurate. Anything with about 80 grains of powder and a good performance bullet will do the trick for deer. If you're hunting larger game like moose, bear, elk, then you might want to up the powder charge and pay attention to the projectile.
Something as simple as 80 grains of powder and a 240 grain XTP will take game. Whether they fall where they stand, who can judge. But the bullet will have plenty power to take game.
