WOW!! that is fantastic.

My friend shot a nice sized deer one time with a roundball. We were sitting in a blind talking about where we would head to next. Then in came a doe. She came in about 100 yards out. He had 100 grains of powder and we had practiced a lot so he said he was going to try. He popped her behind the shoulder and that deer jumped straight into the air well over 6 feet. Then came crashing down landing on the ground. The doe then, laying on her side, basically ran around in circles for a few seconds and then shuddered and was dead. That had to be the darnedest thing I ever saw one do.

That ball hit her behind the front shoulder and while it tore up her heart completely. Then, for some reason it headed "we think" up into the neck instead of traveling through her. We skinned her out and looked for that ball but never found it, and it never passed through her as far as we could tell. Your incident reminded me of that.....
