Default RE: .50 Stag Horn Strikes Again

"What kind of internal damage did that little hollow point do? Granted we know if killed the hog, but because of the bang/flop it must have really torn up the major organs in there.... What do you think that hog weighed?"

The bullet tore up some intestines, missed the heart and liver but totally destroyed the lungs. Never saw alarger game animalact like that in my life. A couple of times she leapedcompletely off the ground; once her whole body was in the air, head down. All i could think of was Carlos Hathcock describing the involuntary reactions of the NVA cobra sniper that he killed with a bullet through the rifle scope. The bullet may have hit her brain.

i usually use 80-90 grains of granular Pyrodex in that rifle. But have some old Pyrodex pellets that need to be used up. Was back to the site last evening andthe shotwasabout35 yards.

Think that she weighed about 150-175 on the hoof.
