stalkingbear - I have to debate your comment on the Savage vs the Browning. I have both in several chamberings. The two A-bolts I have, a 7-08 and a 325 WSM are both good shooters - at least now. The 7-08 needed a bedding job and the 325 needed a trigger job. Both of these rifles were purchased new only a couple of years ago. The Savages I have on the other hand in 7-08, 223, and 30-06 never needed any additional work and shoot as well as the Brownings. The 7-08 and .223 shoot in the 1/2" range consistantly.
