So I just got home in time to catch the end of Realtree. There's some blond gal perched in a tree rattling some horns. There are several bucks around. So they parade past, she goes through the "this bow is to heavy for me" drawing routine as she points the thing at the sky and struggles to draw. She finally gets it back and the arrow falls off the rest as she tried to right the bow which she had laid almost on it's side to draw. She goes through some more girations and gets the arrow on the rest. Unknown to her it had then come off the string... so she DRY FIRES the thing. One of the bucks jumps and runs but the biggest one takes a hop into a wide open shooting lane. She reloads. She then goes through the "THIS DAMN BOW IS TO HEAVY FOR ME TO PULL" drawing routine again. As she is about to shoot the arrow falls off again. She lays it on it's side to try and get it back in place. The camera man reaches up(still filming it all) and places the arrow on the rest. She sights and shoots. Hits the buck perfectly right about half way between the ribs and the butt in the middle of the tenderloins. The deer runs off... she says great hunt. Let's go get my deer. I'm saying lots of luck lady.... and that's what'll take cause you didn't hit any vitals by a long shot. So now it's dark and she's stormin through the woods like she's running from the boggie man. She stops, smiles for the camera and says... "There he is ... yahoo". Then she proceeds to tell she missed one earlier in the week. After seeing her "GOOD HIT" I can believe that. Makes me wonder if they weren't using a pod. Absolutely a rotten hit and shot placement with pittiful penetration. Someone needs to show these people how to shoot, how to match equipment to shooter and patience. The things we have to endure just so someone can put a pretty face in front of a camera. This stuff makes me sick.
