RE: Savage .325WSM
DcNoble I can tell you how I setup my .325 WSM if you would like. Now granted mine is the Browning A-Bolt but ballistically it shouldn't matter. Mine is sighted in 3 1/2" highat 100yards. What that does is allow for you to hold dead on out to 300 yards and still be in the kill zone easily for an elk. I shot my gun at 50,100,150,200,250,300,350 yards to confirm trajectory and with a 3 1/2" high zero at 100 it puts the Winchester Accubond CT 220 about 3.5-4" low at 300 and about 9" low at 350 yards.
That way if you happen to be in a situation where you don't have time to range the animal before you shoot you can just hold on and squeeze.
