100% on the post content, stupidity is not strangled by age[&o]
LoL....best one yet.

However, I do think that there is some bearing to the age thing. Its funny that this came up b/c yesterday after I got off work I got home and checked my email. I had an email from a young man (13yrs old) who said that he looked at my profile (my myspace that I have pics of deer on) and asked me if I killed any big bucks last season.

After talking with the young fella for a few minutes I was like "wow, this kid knows his stuff"and to the most part, he did. I don't know if he knew it by reading it, listening to someone, or what. But he knew a lot about hunting. It was only when we got to the part of the convo. about the deer that he had killed that his age started to show.

Now some would say that he kid didn't know any of the knowledge he was telling me. That he just read it in a magazine or over heard it, but no matter where he got it from. If he goes out and utlizes it to kill deer. Then wouldn't he be worthy of "knowing" it?

Being from the south, hunting is often passed down from generation to generation. I started going hunting with my father and gradfather as soon as I could support the weight of a gun. By the age of 12 I was on stand by myself. Many don't agree with it, but thats how it happened.

Something about hunting calms me. It slows me down, makes me look twice andbreath easy. So when all of my friends were playing, riding bicycles, or at the pool. I would be out in the woods with my pellet gun or .22lr.

This topic takes me back to a hunting club that I was a member of from the ages of 19-22. You could tell that a lot of the older guys in the club really looked down on me and another member who was a year younger than me, JUST because of our ages. We would even over hear some of them making smart comments about us "kids" trying to run things.

Long story short, for three straight years at that club, at the end of hunting season the other guy and I killed more and better quality deer than any of the other members. It could clearly be seen that towards my last year at that club alot of the older guys truely respected both of us and would soak up everything that we had to say. Even if they didn't want to admit it.

A lot of this came from the other guy and I growing up in the woods. Some of it also came from (because of our youth) us getting out and going the extra mile. Walking further in the swamp, sittin' longer in the stand.

I am new to bow hunting, but not to the hunting world its self.

As for the computer comment and Bill Gates.

Bill Gates himself was once that 13yr old computer Geek, sittin' in a basement building computers.
