Default Controlling deer movement

Anyone ever tried to control the travel route of deer? If you have, did it work?

I've got a new spot to huntwhich onlyoffers one good tree to hang a stand. The deer currently travel through the area about50 yards from my stand location where they jumpa fence and headdown to feed.In an effort to bring the deer closer to my setup, I cut the fence to make an opening where the deer can simply walk throughabout 25-30 yards from where they currently cross. I cut the fence in March but haven't been back to check it out yet.

Do you think the deer will slightly change their travel pattern for an easier route?
