RE: BOWTECH... NEVER AGAIN !!
I agree with the guys saying you shouldn't have taken the bow out of the place in the condition it was in the first place. My dealer gave me a new bow out of the box, checked overeverything and had me shoot it for about an hour before leaving the shop to make sure everything was in great shape. Sounds like you dealer screwed you andyou allowed him to by leaving with the bow in the condition it was in. Was the bow new out of the box when he handed it to you? Where there any accessories already on it or did it look like it was fired before you shot it?
When he got toadding spacers shortly after that to fix a brand new bow you should have told him you wanted it replaced. If he saw that when you bought it he should have replaced it instead of even making you go through the warranty department. He also shouldn't have did repair work on a brand new bow.
I bet you even bought your Hoyt off of him after that too? The dealer is more to blame in this than Bowtech and you allowed him to dupe you and now you are ripping on the company.
It's your right to vent but make sure you vent in the right direction. You should be complaining about the dealer selling you a bow in that shape. He could have a history with Bowtech of returning bows like this and that may explain your treatment.
Bowtechreplaced my bow when I had a cam rubbing issue in a week. Each time I've called customer service they've been very friendly and helpful. They have a good relationship with my dealer and it showed in how they treated me. The only thing they said they would not do was ship the bow directly to me.
Yes, there are some minor issues with the bow that I had to work out myself. However, it's not as bad as having to go to a split yoke system or something like that to correct cam lean on Hoyts or the problem with the cams lobe tearing the heck out of the serving on the Matthews. Both are great companies and I'm not knocking them. Just stating what I've heard and seen with both manufacturers.
Just my $2.00 worth.
