Thanks guys for the input. Figured there would be a lot of votes for the 30/06. I'd like to shoot one of the 7 mm short actions before deciding...problem is I don't know anyone that owns one.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Guess the 30/06 makes more sense...I'll hold off on the 7 for now. It's not that I'm not comfortable at 300 yrds...just never taken any game past 200 yrds. so I haven't been exposed to the situation just yet. Just planning for the future...definitely longer shots in my future.<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>
