TDM(tradtional deer mamangement) runied one of the best hunting locations in midwest. Remember 40 years ago all the folks from Iowa, Ill and Ohio use to come to the UP(Michigan) to hunt.
The last 15 years of baiting, shooting 1.5 bucks and not taking enough does led to the deer yards being destroyed in some areas. We went on a kill them all mode to get the number in check. We are still years away from having hunting like we did in the past.

Baiting was the number one factor for the down fall of the UP. 1.5 year old bucks are the first to go most of the time when baiting is used. Add are mulligan buck tag system and you have all the ingredents for a huge mess. Which is what we have now, but we're conservationalist
