If its not about the horns....then why does someone shoot a buck just because it has them?
Never have gotten a good answer to this question.
I know this was not directed to me rybo, but from my experiences this is what I see.
In many of the counties that I grew up hunting, does were not allowed to be shot. There was not a doe season. It had to be a buck. There are still counties in WV where you cannot kill does. So, if you are hunting and you want meat, the only legal thing to do is shoot a buck..........big or small......really does not matter and the only thing considered when the trigger is pulled is if it is a legal buck or not.
What has happened over time is the rules might have changed in some counties, but shooting a "buck" is still the goal for most...........big or small.
