String loops are another speed killer b/c not only do they add weight to the string itself, they also tax your draw length. If you're into speed, you'll want to keep your draw as long as possible andkeep your string as light as possible - no leeches, tarantulas, rubber doo-dads, tru-balls, kissers, etc...

However, not everything that you add to your string will decrease speed. For example, there's a "sweet spot" on the top and bottom of your string (just a couple inches away from each cam), where you can add some weight (i.e. brass nockpoints) and actually INCREASE your speed. Lots of the newer bows are coming stock with some eliminator buttons shrinkwrapped onto the string at this location.Generally, that's the big exception to therule.
