Default real bowfishermen

my hat is off to all of you real bowfishermen out there. with my boat being down for a week or 2 I thought i would go try it the oldfashioned way. I tied a chain onto my old 10 ft v bottom to drag it out of the trees and honeysuckle. after hotwiring a old 30lb troller i was ready. well i put it in a little slough about a mile from the housewith everything in it except the battery. bad idea. light, little boats move a lot easier-quicker than 20 ft ers. boat shot outfrom under me and i was wet to the knees. got battery in and had to shoot from the back of the boat to run the troller. My back still hurts from bending over to run it. only had 4 in of boat out of the water and wasnt very stable at that. I could not shoot to the right because i dare not move my feet. well the troller would pull me along a little faster than a snail but not quite turtle speed. but fish are still fish and i still done pretty good. got 17 gar 2 bowfin and 2 buffalo in 2.5 hrs. to those who shoot without gloves you are tough. I realize i am delicate like a flower but that is crazy.I left mine in other boat. i cut the heck out of my hands on the first 2 gar i shot. i soon realized it was easier to lay them in the floor of the boat and retie my arrow than anything. to those who do this on a weekely basis you truly love the sport.there truly are easier ways to kill fish. i realize i am SPOILED but turning back now would be tough. let the laughing begin!!!!!
