A Word of caution to those new owners of the I-60 and I-40 and future owners of theM series. The strap loop on the rightrear of the camera is positioned at the center of the 2 screws that hold the battery cover on. If mounted on a small tree where there is no support in this area and you tighten the strap too tight, you will see that the front of the battery cover lid will start to pullaway and leave an opening that could cause a water leak.
Do not over tighten the strap when mounting these cameras

I spent about 6 hours scanning the multitude of outdoor forums and looking for feed back on the new cams that are making there way onto the market and are presently arriving at different locations throughout the US. It seems that the bulk of talk is directed toward the new IR Moultrie cameras and the old hard core folks still want to compare them to the Cudde IR camera and push the fable that “I’d buy one of those if it was as fast as the Cudde on trigger speed. Well a quick scan of a lot of reviews showed that most IR cameras tested to date equaled the 3 second trigger time of the Cudde IR and in most cases beat it buy at least one second. The Leaf River, Bushnell, Stealth, Buckeye, Reconyx, new IR Moultrie’s, all have better trigger times. The fact is that the trail camera industry has stepped up to the plate and hit a home run on bettering trigger their times. Non Typical still leads in some areas but they are certainly not the benchmark in today’s market. If I can pay less than $200.00 and get equivalent performance or better and be supported by a company that is renowned for customer service, I think that is the route I would take. Non Typical has made great strides since the introduction of their 06 units and have improved the performance in some cases but all that technology is still stuck in that same case. The Leaf river crowd also was in there strong and rightfully so, because we truly love that camera. It looks like this is going to be a very interesting year, especially with the Wildview folks sneaking in something new out there. We are still waiting for Recon to give us the surprise that was mentioned last year but as of yet has not happened. As I said “It is going to be an interesting year”.
