Many of theshort ferruled wide bladed broadheads have been tested and shown to fly like field tips. Slicktrick, Wac'em, G5, etc.

The Sonic follows the short ferrule design with a smaller diameter of head. It's really up to you what size head you want to use. However, the smaller the diameter the more accurate you have to be. You may slightly miss the vitals with a small diameter that you would have hit if the broadhead was a little wider. Just my $.02
