RE: What's Your Best Scent Reducing Methods
Saw this on a another board:
OK, here's a recipe I read in the Feb. issue of Traditional Bowhunter magazine, author is Ron Rohrbaugh from upstate New York. He swears by it. He doesn't explain why use the hydrogen peroxide, but I'm sure there's a chemical reason.
* One gallon plastic jug.
- 16 oz. of 3% Hyd. Peroxide (<$1),
- 16 oz. distilled water (.25 @ $1/gal),
- 1/4 cup baking soda (.25 per box),
- 1 oz. unscented liquid soap ($???)-(I'll use Scent Killer bath soap),
Mix all ingredients except soap in the jug, shake well to dissolve baking soda. Allow mixture to settle for a few minutes, then add soap. Gently mix but don't foam up the mixture. Pour into your pump spray bottle and use on skin, clothing, boots, gear, etc...
This recipe makes one quart.
