RE: Interested in a craddle style rest
NEWSHOOTER,
I think they do have it in black. It is not heavy, it is a very compact unit. The guy who designed it is a machinist, and it is designed with very close tolerances. Before I bought mine, I went to Loveland, CO and visited them. They told me of all they have sold, noone has had to replace the rollers or o-rings yet. Some have ordered replacement rollers and o-rings, but haven't actually had to replace them yet. One thing I HAVE noticed, is that you can only use 4" vanes. If you were to use bigger vanes, they would not clear the rest frame. When I visited them, they said they are adding a new model that has a bigger diameter to allow clearance of 5" vanes. I use 4" vanes with 2 degree offset, and they work great. I use 28" carbon arrows with 29" draw, 4-blade 100 grain muzzys. These arrows shoot straight with no fishtail or bobble - - that was the bottom line for me...consistent smooth arrow flight. The most important thing is to paper tune the rest in order to get this kind of arrow flight. It was easy with my bowtech patriot.
