I think it was a gobbler. I could not get close enough to it to find out more as the stench was abominable. There are
pictures and video of it on my blog.
Edit: Oops, the blog link isn't working because the word filter is filtering out the word "as#hole" so you will have to type it in by hand into the spot in the URL that is being filtered. Sorry.
The fish and game people are supposed to be contacting me today. I will take the officer over to where the turkey was whenever he gets a hold of me. I don't know what else they can find out given that it had maggots on it already two days ago.
But at least its death will be recorded. And they will know about it.
Perhaps I was wrong to jump to the conclusion that somebody killed it. But I am suspicious.
