Sako Single-Set Trigger Mechanism
I'm the proud owner of a new Sako 75 30-06. Reading through the owner's manual I came across the section on the single-set trigger mechanism. "For use as a normal single-stage trigger, squeeze rearwards in the normal fashion. The trigger mechanism can also be "set" by pushing the trigger forward until it stops. The rifle can now be fired with only a light touch." The factory set trigger pull is approx. 3 lbs, with the set trigger it's 7-9 oz.
Has anyone used this feature? How has it worked for you? I've attempted to test this out on an empty rifle, but haven't succeed in pushing the trigger forward. Maybe the rifle needs to be loaded, maybe I'm just not getting it.
