I've gotten a bunch of folks that are interested in fish to feed their dogs. They are looking for good frozen fish.
A bunch of them are up in Chicagoland but several are from elsewhere in the state and many out-of-staters as well.
The hard part of this will be to keep the fish in good condition. They will need to be cooled down quickly and then frozen.
I know that's hard for most of us. After all, how many carp can you put in your kitchen freezer? If you have a chest freezer and a bit of room it's easier.
(I went out and bought an ice maker to keep my fish fresh while on the trip back from the lake)
Let me know if you can freeze some and I'll try to hook you up with someone in your area.
Also, bigheads and silvers are first choice (smaller = better), then smaller carp and buffs(under 10lbs) then bigger fish. No gar. No common carp from the Illinois River (or other 'advisory' waters).
Thanks! This is great PR for us and a good way to use these fish.
