If its not my deer as soon as I shoot/wound it, why is against the law to not attempt to recover your deer/turkey.etc.. If its still the states deer then let them worry about the carcass. I can shoot as many as I want, as I long as I dont tag it, right.[&:][8D]
It Maryland it becomes your deer once you shoot it or wound it, before that it is the state's deer.

08.03.10.03
.03 Crippled Game.
Every game bird or game animal wounded by hunting and reduced to possession by the hunter shall be immediately killed.

08.03.04.03
.03 Tagging and Reporting Deer and Wild Turkey.
..................
4) Any person killing a deer or turkey shall:
(a) Attach a game field tag completed in ink to the head of the deer or leg of the turkey; and
(b) Record in ink the species, date, county of harvest, sex, and weapon class on the hunter's big game harvest record before removing the carcass from the place of the kill.
(5) The completed game field tag shall remain attached to the deer or turkey until the carcass is either:
(a) Processed by the hunter for consumption;
(b) Disposed of by a processing facility; or
(c) Left with a taxidermist.
Sorry you must first reduce it to possession, before you own it in Md.

Sorry to break the news to everyone here on this board, but I own all the deer out there and I let you all hunt them via state regulations. I would apreciate it if you would finally start paying that small fee to me so I can maintain your sport.[8D]
