The best time to hunt is anytime!

Night and day time hunting require different tactics and different gear. I'd guess that if you are geared properly, that night time should produce more action, but action can be produced in the day as well. I've never night hunted, but generally speaking, the first couple and last couple of hours of day light will yield good results, but when it's cold, coyotes can be called anytime of day. As far as electronic callers, they have thier place, just not in my arsenal. There are those that have both hand and electronic, and then those that have one or the other. They both have pros and cons. You just have to weigh them and decide which will work best in your situation. Best months to pursue yoties is all winter long.
