That may be his point but The 30-06 sure does not come to mind when talking about a cartridge that wounds much big game. It ceratinly has the bullet weight and penetration to do in about anything that gets in its way.

I can see the 30-30 being considered a wounder because people tend to under estimate range and the 30-30 is sure at its best within 100 yards. However a lot of moose and other big game have been harvested with the 30-30 in its day. Again, my point is that wounding animals is mostly the fault of the hunter.
