I bought a New England Arms .243 for my son last year that came with a Simmons 8 pt 3x9x40. I was unable to get it to shoot better than 8". I did not want to spend a bunch of money so I bought a a Tasco World Class 3x9x40 and immediately was able to shoot consistent 2" groups. Each of my sons killed their first deer with that set up. We went to the range two weeks ago and the first shots were 6" high. I made the adjustment and then I was 8" low. I adjusted it again and was all over the paper. I now have a Monarch on the way and will NEVER purchase another cheap scope. I have nothing but Leupold on my others rifles but found the Monarch difficult to pass up at $230 shipped.
