The whole thing about having to put them under cuz they are to old is a pile of crap. A guy I know does ours for us and does his own on his litters and he does them when they are about 10 days old. Dunno why he does it that late but he does and the pups do great. Never had any problems and the pups are fine during the cutting. I'd say go and find someone who will remove them as soon as possible. If that vet won't do it find another to do it. Better to get it done now than later. Much less stressful on a dog. WCL
