RE: what age to start
I first went when I was 12, got my first deer my first morning too. Seems kind of late compared to the rest of you, but I think it was the right age.
A kid that hasn't even hit double digit age yet just seems a little young to be shooting a high-powered rifle at a living creature that requires a good shot to bring down.
