RE: Any advice for hunting the real windy days?
One day last season was particularly windy and we kept right on hunting. We spotted a tom about 400 yards up wind of us out in an open farm field. My buddy did some yelps on his mystic box call, and through my bino's, I could see the tom gobble. So my buddy, not beleiving me, did some more ylps, and once again the tom resonded, BUT we could not hear him, even though we were down wind of him.
We got set up around the bend on the creek, and we called him in. I missed with my bow though!
