I am under the impression that the darker the water, the darker the bait, is that even remotely correct? But what about how bright it is outside, or the cloud cover and stuff like that?

Im wondering because I was looking on here and I noticed everyone seemed to like a white spinnerbait, and I read somewhere that black and blue is kind of a go to color when nothing else works. So last night I bought a white spinnerbait, a black and blue spinner bait, and a black and blue buzzbait.
