www.AZGFD.com and look at the reg for the fall 2006-2007 seasons and on page 9 they list the animals that require permit (drawings) and animals and season that are non-permit (OTC). It’s not too hard but does take time to read and understand what is what. Example: deer seasons are mostly draw except for OTC archery deer tags. They can be used only when special permit (draw) seasons are closed and the regs spell that out really well.
We can hunt archery deer thru January but you have to purchase another OTC tag for that since it's a new year and it will count against you if you harvest a deer in January so you won't be able to apply for a deer tag thru the drawing process. If you don’t harvest a deer in January then you are free to apply for a permit (draw tag) later in the year, plus your archery tag is still good till the end of the year. You are only allowed ONE deer per year regardless of how you harvest it!
