Spurs are really crucial when it comes to making a trophy bird. But the scoring system is weighted pretty evenly. In order to get a bird that is a record level Tom, you either have to have one VERY high score, such as 2.25" spurs or a 14" beard or weigh around 30 lbs; or just have a large bird that is top notch in all three, as written above.
