You get what you pay for with optics....and in my opinion, they make or break the gun.
Personally I would go ahead and spend a little more now on a scope, you will probably eventually upgrade anyhow. My choices would be either a Leupold VX 2... 2x7x33, or a Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x40. The Nikon is very nice, and less expensive by around $50-75, and amazingly clear for the money.
IMO, Leupolds are probably the best you can get dollar for dollar.
