Default RE: "Real World" review of Don Higgins Book

I haven't even said anything yet.........saying someone's book is TERRIBLE is the most ridiculous and degrading comment you ever heard??

Are you a young kid (just guessing by the childish name calling)??
Atlas, sorry you don't see your comment as degrading to a fellow bowhunter.

I thought it was TERRIBLE on many levels
And no, I am not a young kid, although I wish I was at times. I am old enough (39) to know when I read a degrading comment though.

Tell me how the book "helped" you.
I was one of the "experts" Don mentioned more than once in his book, for years. Always having to try all the new scents, calls, ect., but at the same time in the back of my mind I was going against what I thought was the right way to hunt mature deer. Media-minded you might say. I wonder now, (since I at that time desired to hunt Don's way) how many mature deer I missed out on because of hunting them wrong. Basically he reinforced and added a lot of truth to what I used to believe in the back of my mind.

I guess you only like it when Don does it though
No, Atlas, "I" can take a punch with the best of them. I just don't pull many either.

How exactly??.........by convincing people not to tresspass??
See, this mentality is exactly why people were trying to take his deer. They were basically so jealous, they had to come up with the trespassing thing to get a deer they were not hunter's enough to take ethically.

That's not what Don says.
What's the title and main objective of the book Atlas? Or did you really read it?

Don says it is geared towards the "everyday" hunter that works for a living. Did you even read the book?
It is "geared" toward the everyday hunter. The ones who are wanting to meet goals. Not everyone has a goal of only taking mature deer, that is fine. But, if you do have these type of goals, the book is spot on for you.

So what "tactics" did he teach you that are gonna make you more successful?
Deer memory, not using scents, hanging stands before spring, being low pressure, not following the average Joe's methods, knowing more than just a few reasons "why I chose this stand for this day and this location, ect."

And by the way Atlas, don't get your thong on backwards "Ouch", did you really read why he raises deer?
