Thanks to all for the great info. I contacted Dave at No Excuses and recieved some info. Only the 460 is legal in colorodo and he said that several of his clients shoot omegas with 70-85 grains of 777 for best results. So that will be my starting point, then I will try the rest. Should be a great spring of testing bullets and powder. I will keep you all posted on my findings. This will be a group project because the hunting partners that will be joining me all shoot Omegas and love to burn powder.
Since penetration is 2nd after shot placement, do some testing on bullet penetration. I used 5 gallon bucket of soil turned sideways:

I have read where others shoot into a soil bank, or stacks of plywood or wet newspapers or some have shot into 1 gallon paint buckets of water stacked in a line with about 4" air gap between the paint buckets. 9 paint bucketsin a row.You can then judge the penetration, expansion and hitting power of the bullet.A bullet that only goes thru 1 gallon of water is not that good. A bullet that goes thru 9 paint buckets is excellent. I have read where a flat nosed cast bullet penetrated 39" of balistic gel.
