If Bearded hens are legal in your state they are a Trophy to me. But once you shoot why shoot another? And that is just me not saying anything wrong with it.

It is reported that find a population of Bearded hens (3%-5% of the hen population have beards) and you get a better chance of Multiple Bearded Toms.

So yes I have one Sassy Bearded hen on my wall as it was the third I saw and was my 20th turkey hunting anniversary.

Seen 4 others in the next 10 yrs as now it's my 30th this yr.
Shot 6 double beards in that time. And called in one Triple.

In my opinion, no. I'm in JW's camp. I shot one several years ago and have passed on them ever since.

Had a hen about land in my lap today...if she had a beard, it would have been a time trial bonus! But yes, no xtra for hens I reckon

I've never actually participated in the "trash talk" even tho I know it's all in good fun.

I truly hope everyone that gets out, shoots a new personal best!!

Superstrut and CamoKenny are way out of my league, and everyone else's too, it seems. I'm glad I'm on their team.

I don't eat the heads, but I have saved a neck or two for stem meat when they weren't too shot up.

Yes they are laying the smack down on the birds that is for sure.. I am hopeful that the rest of us can help them out. It's getting down to each team member pretty well now. I know you did your part Joe and I hoping to as well once my season opens up..
