Seen the tom that was with the one i shot opening morning yesterday.Looks like he's gonna make it thru the season. Still wonder if i picked the right one when i shot. This one don't have hardly anything for a beard but can't help but think he's an older and heavier bird. If the stupid thing would have ever came out of strut so i could get a good size comparison, but never would, he was in full strut even when he was sitting in the tree! Oh, well hopefully he will be around next season. Farmer is planting corn all over again so should be good deer season and for turkeys next spring. I've got lots of walleye to catch in the meantime.
