thanks zubba. like i tell everyone who i talk to. i dont care if he is a 2 yr old or a 5 yr old. he comes in and is not a jake and he is getting a piggy back to the truck. on a side note i do seem to kill alot of 2 yr olds lol. my buddy calls me the king of 2 yr olds.

having trouble with the pics at the moment. but will get them posted asap

i think this puts us at 820.1875 total for 14 birds

Nice looking bird Snapper. He has a paintbrush of a beard. Congrats.

We can't be out of it yet. I think we have 2 people chasing birds yet, I believe.

I'm still looking for an upgrade. Went out today. Went to one of my favorite spots in Iowa for the first time. Holy Smokes, my favorite field was waist high already. Heard some birds gobbling hard, but went other direction...to a crop field not grown up yet. Going back out tomorrow with a buddy, but it is his turn to shoot first, and I run the camera. Can only hope 2 come in and we can pull the switch-ero with the bow.

If 1 more team member could get a bird, think we'd have a shot at first. But 2nd is lookin like a real good possibility which would still be pretty dang good! Nice work on a great season everyone!

I still think 870 will come through.

We had a pretty awesome morning today. First we called in a Tom & Jake. The Tom put on a nice show as he strutted in from about 150 yards. My buddy missed him at about 8 yards. By looking at the footage, the arrow flew right over his head. About an hour later, we had 3 Jakes come in. My buddy missed him at 15 yards. After we looked at the footage, the arrow looked like to grazed him. Went out and looked..found the tip of his snoot...lol. That is what I like about bowhunting turkeys with the bullheads...it is either a kill or nothing. You don't have to worry about not recovering a bird.

I tell you though, anyone serious about bowhunting turkeys needs to look into a nice set of decoys. They are pricey, but worth their weight in gold. I have shot a pile of birds with the foam decoys & a shotgun. But a good decoy will bring them within 3-5 yards and keep them there. We use The Best Turkey Decoy jake and 2 Dave Smith Decoy hens. We split the cost so it wasn't as bad, but I'll never hunt turkeys without them. Sorry for rambling.
